Kérjük, egyben felszólítjuk Önöket, hogy azonnal sikerrel töröljék ezen könyvek elérhetőségeit, sőt nyomait is, valamint ennek tényéről értesítést kérek! 
Kérjük munkájuk sikere érdekében tegyenek meg mindent - még ha jogi nyilatkozatukban leírják, hogy nem vállalnak közös felelősséget a jogsértőkkel - , hogy honlapjukra ne kerüljenek fel jogvédett könyvek! Javaslunk ehhez egyrészt jobb, részletesebb keresőt. Ha Önök - moderátorként - nem ismerik fel egy-egy könyv ingyenes jogsértését (de bármely a moderátoruk által gondolt nem tetsző beírást igen), a károsult kiadóknak kellene felkínálniuk keresőjükkel egyszerűbb lehetőséget a jogtalanul feltett könyvek megtalálására. 

Javasoljuk másrészt, hogy jól feltűnő helyen, sőt minden egyes anyag feltöltésénél ugorjon ki egy figyelmeztetés, miszerint  Önök nem értenek egyet a jogvédett könyvek ily módon való közreadásával, sőt felhívja a figyelmet a jogsértés lehetőségének tényére (mert erre való utalás sehol nincs feltüntetve honlapjukon)

Nem, a navigáció a letöltés után korlátlan ideig használható lesz. Az appot a 10 nap letelte után leveszik az iTunes és a Google Play boltokból, és nem lehet majd letölteni, azonban a letöltött alkalmazás bármeddig tovább használható ingyenesen.

Megkezdődött az Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) támogatásának leállítása - jelentette be a Google. Első körben a cég a friss böngészőt vonja meg a rendszer felhasználóitól, a Play Services viszont marad.

Nem kap több frissítést az Android 4.0-n futó Chrome - jelentette be a Chromium blogon a Google. Eszerint a Chrome 42-es sorszámú kiadása lesz az utolsó, amely fut a sokéves rendszeren, a soron következő, 43-as kiadás már csak Jelly Bean, KitKat és Lollipop operációs rendszerekre lesz elérhető. A 43-as verzió megjelenésétől fogva biztonsági frissítések sem érkeznek majd a böngészőhöz, annak támogatása tehát ugyanúgy lejár, mint tavaly a Windows XP-é.

A Chrome-csapat ütemterve szerint a 42-es végleges kiadása április közepén lesz esedékes, ez a verzió május végéig, a 43-as kiadásig számít támogatottnak. Ettől a ponttól fogva a támogatással rendelkező rendszerekre megérkezik a frissítés, Ice Cream Sandwich-re viszont már nem fog. Ezzel egyidőben a böngészőből véglegesen eltávolításra kerül az ICS-specifikus kódbázis is.

A Google döntése rendkívül aggasztó, a rendszeresen (sőt, vallásosan) frissített Chrome ugyanis a Firefox mellett az Android-felhasználók legmodernebb és legbiztonságosabb böngészője volt. Mivel a szoftverhez a későbbiekben nem jönnek majd biztonsági frissítések, különösen ajánlott Chrome-ról valamilyen egyéb böngészőre, például a fent említett Firefoxra váltani. Az Android Dashboard adatai szerint az androidos telefonoknak mintegy 5,9 százalékán fut jelenleg Ice Cream Sandwich, így konzervatív becslés szerint is sok tízmilliós felhasználói bázisról beszélünk.

A Google azzal indokolja a döntést, hogy az Android 4.0 támogatása egyre nehezebbé és költségesebbé válik, amit a rendszer gyorsan zsugorodó felhasználói bázisa mellett már nem érez a cég kifizetődőnek. A Google adatai szerint az elmúlt év folyamán az ICS-felhasználók száma egyharmadával csökkent. "A rendszer támogatása idővel egyre nehezebbé és komplexebbé vált. Minden új funkciót és webes képességet, amit a Chrome-ba építettünk, implementálni és teszteli kellett ICS-re is. Ez gyakran azt jelentette, hogy egyedi megoldásokat, egyedi, rendszerspecifikus kódot kellett írni, ami növeli a komplexitást, csökkenti a teljesítményt és megnyújtja a fejlesztési periódusokat" - mondja a vállalat.

Az első lépcsőfok

Az androidos Chrome első verziója 2012. február elején jelent meg, még béta állapotban. Az új böngésző nagy zavart okozott, mivel kizárólag az akkor néhány hónapos Android 4.0-n volt hajlandó futni, ami akkor gyakorlatilag csak a Nexus telefonokon volt elérhető. Ezzel a Google kizárta a Gingerbreadet használó tízmilliókat az új böngésző használatából, számukra a Chrome később sem vált elérhetővé. A Google idővel teljesen leselejtezte az Android Browsert, alapértelmezett böngészőként az újabb rendszerekben már a Chrome működik.

A Google egyéb szolgáltatásaival továbbra is támogatja az Android 4.0-t, sőt, az azt megelőző verziót, a Gingerbreadet is. Például mindkét verzió megkapja a Play Services hamarosan esedékes 7.0-s kiadását, amely a Play Store mellett a különböző Google szolgáltatások API készletét implementálja. A támogatás megvonása tehát egyelőre kizárólag a Chrome-ra vonatkozik - nem mintha ez nem lenne elég nagy csapás az ICS-en ragadt felhasználókra nézve.
