They moved on to techno sounds in the 1990s and continue to provide gems of pop music that have influenced bands like Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Sex Pistols throughout their career. Their dream came true. But was it really? All three answer this question with a slight doubt. They actually dreamed of becoming serious rock stars, not teenage idols who were pictured in glossy magazines.

It follows the band on tour, telling the full story of how three young men followed their impossible dream of becoming Norwegian pop stars. When Take On Me reached number 1 on Billboard in the US in 1985 the dream came true.

In March 2013, Epica invited to Eindhoven and celebrated a unique anniversary show there - as part of their tenth birthday. In front of a sold out house, the Dutch symphonic metallers stood on stage for over three hours and performed their greatest hits together with a 70-man choir and orchestra and there were also numerous surprises, such as a classical medley. As if that wasn't enough, there was a happy reunion with all former Epica members, along with a guest appearance by Floor Jansen (Nightwish, ReVamp). Inspired by large-scale film music, Christopher von Deylen (Schiller) develops his own epic orchestral sound on his new album "Epic". To achieve this, he combines his atmospheric sound worlds with emotional orchestral arrangements to create a gigantic head cinema soundtrack.
Schiller collaborated for the recordings with the 40-piece symphonic orchestra of the famous Synchron Stage in Vienna, where the likes of Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have recorded.
"Working with forty creative people was a breathtaking experience," says Schiller looking back. "Although there are now sound libraries with excellent samples, luckily there is no substitute for real instruments. You immediately feel a wonderful, powerful energy. Being in a huge room full of collective creative power is incredibly inspiring. On Epic, I try to capture that vibe and transfer it to the listener."
"Epic" features twelve opulent tracks that fuse the unique Schiller sound with fantasy and fiction. Each track is a self-contained musical narrative with goosebumps guaranteed.
The limited Super Deluxe Edition contains two CDs, a Blu-ray and a 40-page hardcover artbook in a slipcase. CD 1 contains the album "Epic" with twelve epic electronic orchestra tracks. CD 2 features twelve additional new Schiller tracks.
